So ... good and bad news. I guess it depends on which way everyone takes it. Let's just say it's amazing news. The good news is that I'm joining the community which used to be gender that's now dearest. So along with zoo, sister and warstench, I will be posting icons, graphics and resources. Bad news? I'll be leaving this community. Good news! Most of you probably already have gender friended, so if you want to keep track of me, I'm already there. ;o; Good news! There will still be two posters on this community. Alison (covert) will be joining. There will still be oodles of gorgeous icons from the same fandoms (since we all enjoy the same things).

We won't be changing our affiliates, so don't have to worry. Alison and Lins will take good care of you. I appreciate everyone's support on the community that kind of grew from scratch. I love you all very dearly. Thank you so much.

You probably wondered why actionhalo was renamed to theairwaves! Well, I've been brought in, for one thing, and other reasons will be revealed by Roni (or if you snoop through comments, you can find stuff!). I'm Alison. Prior to this, most of my icons made were made for recreational purposes (role-play, admittedly) or for contests (manga_battle, go vote!), but Lins asked me on board, and how could I refuse to be in the company of two brilliant iconmakers? Both of them are very dear friends of mine, so yes! I may or may not hero worship their existences.

As it is, I'm a history and English double major in college. It's my senior year, so I can't promise lots of icons. Most of my inspiration for things comes from music, which I guess is a theme among the three of us here. Series wise, I'm not as all over the board, but hopefully, I can offer some different things and hopefully, you'll like it. I especially hope people will take a look at Darker than Black because it's an amazing series. It's deep, thought provoking, and, well, in a shallow sense, it's very pretty.

9.8.2007 : Yesterday I started the header for iconfiend100 inspi'Simca. I'm not entirely happy with it, since I threw it together and just wanted to get it up. I don't even have a place-holder icon yet, sad. However!! I do have three other Simca icons to post later today. I may even spruce up the header, since I'm not that happy with it. I will frequently update this post with icons/explanations/variations/whatever I feel like. I started a small Simca playlist to get myself rolling.

9.9.2007 : I added, cut, and spruced up a few icons on the board. I also made a new header for the set. ♥ Things are coming along nicely, and I guess if I keep going this way, that these'll be done in no time. haha. I think some things are still subject to change, so I may be fiddling around with these some more. I also made a filler icon for everything that doesn't have an icon yet, and I think I'll be fiddling with the table too; I think my information graphic training is getting ahead of me. Uploaded twenty-five icons. I'm a quarter of the way there.

Yes, this is what I really do at work.

It's been a really really long time since I've posted Devil May Cry icons. A really really long time, it's funny, since that's what I'm usually known for (or what I was known for) back on orbedead. Since Sarah, vergils_lover, was so kind to help me out, I told her that I'd treat her with some Vergil icons. So all of you who enjoy these can thank her, really, for inspiring me enough to make some more Devil May Cry icons. The others sort of came from it. The first two anime ones are a variations on the super-special birthday present I made for murmur_twins (I even made her default, squee!!), an awesome Phoenix cosplayer we met at ACen. She Danted up her journal, thus more anime icons came from it, so I should thank her, especially, for those. It felt good making icons for Devil May Cry again, I have to say. I thought I did all I could with them, and then I find that they've been meshing with my new style really well.

I figured I'd post all of these before everyone was flooded with Air Gear ... things. While I was tearing up the manga, I made crops for icons, wallpapers and layouts (headers & layouts) galore. I may not code the layouts unless people are going to use them, so if you're interested, post so I can code them. I just don't want to exert the energy if I don't have to!! Secondly, I made two YuYu Hakusho icons, otherwise I haven't found any screencaps (weep) and my computer won't let me take them (weepx2).

The Tenjho Tenge stuff mostly (if not all) comes from Chapter 106 and features one of my new loves, Hirohiko Kabane. There's also a few that snuck in of Mitsuro, and Aya, of course. Beware of spoilers, if you haven't figured it out already. A few of the icons match my current layout, huzzah.

A few of the screencaps are from the lovely nuhtshel. Maybe all these icons are coming from the good music I've been listening to. Always a +. Also, quite a few variations on things, which I'm not used to doing, but I want to get into the habit of experimenting again. Enjoy!!

A mix I've been working on for a while, random icons posted here and there. I figure I'll just always post a big batch that I did in my spare time. The Avatar ones have been accumulating for a while. I'm continually going through the Avatar screencaps at Avatar Spirit, reusing them, and trying to fiddle with them to get some decent icons. What surprised me, was the quality of the spoiler icons (yes, there are spoilers for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 3: Fire), since the poster quality was pretty poor. The little Fire Nation logo was vectored by me (!!!) and plopped where ever I saw fit, mostly to symbolize the move into spirituality they're going to be approaching in the next season (as well as, uh, you know, heading into the Fire Nation).

Nothing else. Enjoy.

Now it's my turn for an icon post! This is mostly stuff I've made out of boredom, and for use over at canonwars. There's alot of OLIVIA icons here, and alot of Nakashima Mika as Oosaki Nana, because OLIVIA has quickly become one of my favorite artists of all time. If you like indie rock, check her out -- she has alot of styles ranging from indie to trip-hop to alternative rock, and she sounds really lovely doing it.

I have a handful of icons from other genres, too, but I want to lump them all together, and I also want to make sure I have more than just, like, 15 to post, so I'll be puttering around and making some more to go with those.

The recent chapters of Tenjho Tenge (104, 105) have been amazing. So amazing that I've been inspired to use oh!Great's art to its fullest. Most of the icons feature Aya and Hirohiko (Aya, who've loved for a long time, and Hirohiko, who has earned a new place in my heart in chapters he's showed up in). "Where's My Mind?" by the Pixies (also from Fight Club), is perfect for him. MAY THIS INSPIRE SOME OF YOU TO READ TENJHO TENGE. There's one lone, sad Air Gear icon, but it shall have others soon, I promise. Death Note is always given, the icons are doujinshi icons.

I'm experimenting with a format of posting icons that I like. I'm not down with the colorful/grey/black tables (even though it made a lot of the colors pop), so I'm exploring information graphics. Bear with me.

I made a couple NANA wallpapers today.. one of Nana and one of Hachi, with Nakashima Mika and Ichikawa Yui (since the poor girl gets no love, and I think she makes a wonderful Hachi!)
